2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

The all-new 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is powered by a 390-horsepower version of Jaguar’s supercharged 4.2-liter V8 engine, combined with a ZF six-speed automatic transmission with sport programming and Land Rover’s CommandShift manual shift mode. A 300-horsepower 4.4-liter V8 is also available.

The 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a new addition to the Land Rover lineup, a sports tourer SUV to complement Land Rover’s flagship Range Rover with its legendary Land Rover off-road capability. The Range Rover Sport is the best performing and best handling vehicle that Land Rover has offered, with greater emphasis on on-road performance, ideal for long-distance driving but still delivering exceptional off-road capability. The Range Rover was first imported to the U.S. in 1987 and redesigned for the 1995 model year. Land Rover was purchased by BMW AG in 1994 and sold to Ford Motor Company in 2000. The all-new Range Rover debuted in the fall of 2002 and is one of the most capable and luxurious vehicles in the world.
