New for 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo
The 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo adds the Gallardo Spyder and the Gallardo SE the Gallardo model line. The Gallardo receives a power increase to 520 horsepower for the 5.0-liter V10 engine. The Gallardo Spyder receives strengthened A-pillars, Roll-Over Ptrotection System, and the top can be lowered in just over 20 seconds and stows completely under the rear decklid. The Gallardo SE features a unique two-tone paint scheme, coordinated two-tone interior, slightly-tinted taillights, new "Callisto" wheels, colored brake calipers, sport suspension, P Zero Corsa tires and sport steering wheel. Only 250 Gallardo SEs will be built.
Introduction
The Gallardo is Lamborghini’s two-seat mid-engine V10-powered sports car that joined the Lamborghini line as a 2004 model and in just two years became the top-selling Lamborghini model of all time. Gallardo production topped the 3000 mark in November 2005, surpassing the Lamborghini Diablo as the most produced Lamborghini model of which a total of 2903 were produced over a ten year period.
