Pros:
Very comfortable on long road trips (my old 1998 XJ & 2001 VDP XJ were a little cramped & that became apparent in stiff joints after 2 hours of continuous driving). Much improved reliability over older XJs, more advanced also. Of course, continues to be stylish & elegant. The lighter but stiffer aluminum body definately gives it a uniquely refined drive.
Cons:
The steering is a little too loose (Consumer Reports calls it "light"..I agree)- combine that with a higher center of gravity and the car is less assured at higher speeds & sharp turns than the older XJs.
Overall review:
While this is the FatCat's Jag (the pre-2004 models were the Playboy's Jag)- this Jag still has the heart & soul of Sir William Lyons- fast and gorgeous.
