2006 Ford Explorer

The 2006 Ford Explorer is redesigned with bold new exterior styling and a more comfortable interior that follows the tough luxury interior styling of the F-150. The new 4.6-liter V8 produces 292 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, a 53 horsepower increase, and combined with a new 6-speed automatic is expected to deliver a ten percent increase in fuel economy. The new tube-through-tube chassis design improves stiffness for a smoother ride and quieter interior.
