Bentley Motors celebrates 60 years of hand-assembled car production at its historic factory in Crewe with the 2006 Bentley Continental GT Diamond Series. Based on the Mulliner Driving Specification, created by Bentley’s coachbuilding division in response to requests for a GT with a more sporting and contemporary character, the Continental GT Diamond Series features an exclusive package of enhancements including carbon ceramic brakes, a production first for Bentley, and new 20-inch 14-spoke alloy wheels that offer a view of the black 8-piston front calipers. Diamond Series features derived from the Mulliner Driving Specification include quilted rather than straight-fluted leather seats, quilted door casings, solid drilled alloy pedals, leather and chrome sports gear lever with knurled top and dark stained walnut or piano black wood.

Pros: A Top of the line high end Coupe, The ultimate in Performance and Luxury a Hand stitched Leather interior with real wood and metal Finishes a beautiful cabin to spend time in. It has so much effortless performance on tap with its 552 BHP W12 Engine from VW 0 to 60 comes up in around 4.5 seconds with Top speed being 198 MPH. Mated to a 6 Speed automatic transmission that handles the power and transmits that through all four wheels. It defies its size and moves with much haste, its truly classy a car that really grows on you. Of course a vehicle of this quality does gain lots of attention but mostly admiring glances, A good investment Bergin too if you buy used lots of models to choose from.
Cons: Of Course with a Vehicle this heavy, mated to a W12 Engine running costs are bound to be high and they sure are. Figure 14 miles per gallon combined and as low as 8-9 miles per gallon in city driving The chance of seeing higher miles per gallon are slim. The 19 miles per gallon quoted on the window sticker requires you to drive like a saint while 18 wheelers flyby. maintenance is also a huge factor to figure in as Bentley requires a Kings Ransom to do even the smallest of Service. Should you require new disc's then that will run you into the thousands of dollars at a Bentley dealer so make sure you put aside cash for the unexpected or make sure you get a good warranty if you buy at a dealer
Overall review: Buy this Car used with a full Bentley Service History and it will be a great buy at reasonable prices now they have been around for 9 years or so But buy one without a full Bentley service history or a careful owner and repair cost will be huge and can bankrupt a buyer who doesn't do the maths so shop around for the best car your money can bring don't let your heart rule your head it will be worth it in the long run as any cash not spent on repairs can buy you a newer car. This Vehicle has Great presence and the most luxury and performance you could ever want and all within reach of the shrewd car buyer. Performance and ride quality is in another class and it truly needs to be driven to be appreciated. Effortless performance and a comfortable ride perfect for long distance road trips, in fact its excatly what this car was bulit for...
