New for 2005 Chrysler Crossfire

Chrysler adds the Crossfire Roadster to the lineup with a power-operated soft top that stows beneath a hard tonneau cover that includes fairing for a sportier appearance with the top down. Also new are the high-performance SRT-6 coupe and roadster.

Introduction

The Chrysler group has earned a reputation for taking concept cars and turning them into production vehicles with very little of the original concept lost in the process. The Dodge Viper and Plymouth Prowler are two examples of this transformation, and the Crossfire is the latest production vehicle to arrive in nearly identical form to the concept car. The Crossfire is produced in Germany in conjunction with longtime DaimlerChrysler partner Karmann.
