A Truly Refined Vehicle by Mike F. from Tempe, AZ on 04/21/2009. Trim: 2004 Lexus SC 430 Convertible, Owned 2 years.
Pros: The powerfully quiet engine, overall fit & finish, and head-turning looks (w/the top down) are what makes this vehicle most attractive. Thank goodness it's rear wheeled drive or the 300 hp would cause an enormus amount of torque-steer! The Mark Levinson sound system has the clarity and acoustic quality of many 'high-end' home systems. Small enough to fit in any parking space or garage, yet large enough to be a, more-than comfortable, highway cruiser!!
Cons: I, personally, think it looks strangely bizarre & space-age with the top up! The run-flat tires have such firm sidewalls, the car tends to bounce on rough & bumpy roads.
Overall review: Lexus must have done something right with this car because neither the interior nor the exterior have had any 'subtle' changes since 2002! If you're looking for a 'sports car' feel (i.e. harsh ride, super low to the ground, noisy engine, difficult to get in-to, etc.)...this is not the car for you! You won't, however, be disappointed with the power, comfort, quality, or envious looks you'll get if you buy this awsome ride!!
