Do what I said above and you could not keep them on the lot! by Brian Birddawg on 04/11/2012. Trim: 2004 Chevrolet Express, Owned 7 years.
Pros: I have 100,000 on my AWD Express and have really put it to some tough tests. I pulled a 16 trailer loaded with hunting gear and a Argo 8 wheeler. I pulled it over 8000 miles in two weeks up and down hills from Illinois to North Dakota and Duck and Goose hunting all over ND. It got 13 to 15 miles per gallon and it is a high top. The 327 is a workhorse I love it. It will cruise at 95 mph in Arizona and the west easy. My next Van will be a Express AWD. I have pulled a lot of people out of stuff I drove right through!
Cons: The rear veiw Mirrors deflect bugs in your face when the windows are down.
Overall review: Fix the Mirrors and make the AWD in 3 quarter ton and you would have a monster especially if you put a Duramax in it! That would be like heaven for us hunters that go in groups! I also have a 2005 GMC van for family trips. Both are conversions the Chevrolet is AWD but they both get 18 miles to a gallon. Get the AWD its worth it!
