THE ULTIMATE TRUCK
by Bryan, Alberta on 03/13/2010.
Trim: 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LT Ext. Cab Short Bed 4WD, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
My dad bought this truck brand new, he put over 400,000 km's on it with very few problems, GM replaced the injectors at 370,000km free of charge, this truck gets awesome fuel economy 26-27 mpg empty and 24-25 pulling a backhoe, when people see the truck they asume it is very low km due to its fantastic condition, no rust, no damage, all power assesories still work and the interior is close to showroom!!! Many people have said the 2003 duramax was the best model year and I know why. I plan to drive this truck for another 400,000 km's
Cons:
Rear axle seals seem a bit problematic on these trucks, I have done mine twice, it only takes 30 minutes to change out the seals and they are only $20 so not a huge deal. Tailgate freezes up when the truck is washed in the winter.
Overall review:
Best truck ever built, will tow a house if you need it to and with excellent style and fuel economy to boot!! My turck has all filters changed every 5000k (ALL FILTERS) and I think that is why the truck as been so reliable and has been so great.
