My Favorite Car in 20 years of Sports Cars. by LRP Greg on 10/14/2004. Trim: 2002 BMW M Coupe, Owned 2 years.

Pros: I have owned dozens of nice cars, and the M Coupe is the only one that after nearly three years, I still enjoy owning. I Will probably keep it forever. Great car for anyone who likes something a little different, and wants a car suitable for occassional track days.

Cons: I wish they had used the seats from the e46 M3. Stock seats are ok, but the M3 seats are better.

Overall review: The M Coupe is like a classic fountain pen. It just has a special feel that is hard to quantify. The S54 motor in a light car just rockets, and yet it does so in that classic GT sense, rather than the manic turbo boost one gets from a little motor. The feedback from the steering is precise. Great car for the Novice or Advance Run Group Driver, or just enjoy it on the street.
