Better than a Liberty by Hardhead from Ky on 07/01/2011. Trim: 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-Door 4WD, Owned 8 years.

Pros: The I-6 engine is without a doubt the best engine Jeep has ever made. Mine has 212,000 miles and I didn't hestitate a minute to tow our camper for vacation this summer. My mail carrier has one and when I told her my miles, she just said, "Oh so it's almost broken in". I had to replace the alternator, but other than that nothing. My dad bought a Liberty and imediatlly agreed replacing the cherokee was a huge mistake, and I agree.

Cons: Gas Mileage. Shocks wear quickly, but mine has been USED. However, they do not seem to last as long as other 4X4 Ihave had.

Overall review: Buy one while you can still find them
