What's New

The Ram 2500 enters the 2001 model year with few visible changes. Under the hood, however, is a new high-output (HO) Cummins turbodiesel engine with almost 50 more lb-ft of torque and a six-speed manual transmission.

A must have is the Cummins by Mad Bomber on 11/23/2009. Trim: 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab Long Bed 2WD, Owned 8 years.
Pros: Cant go wrong with Cummins in it. MPG went up after 100K. Easy to add more power. Mine is at 428.1 HP and 1K of torque. Good tow truck for my travel trailer.
Cons: Ford does do a better job for comfort but it MUST have the Cummins so it was a Dodge. Kids would like more room but that's just too bad. I've broken parts on my truck but this was my own fault with the extra HP.
Overall review: Still even after 10 years I WOULD NOT SELL IT!!!!
