Pros:
looks great, unique only 24,000 made for the US, inexpensive to purchase used, inexpensive to operate / insure, great gas mileage (31.5 mpg and I drive it the way it's meant to be driven), interior layout is basic and works well, top is manual and easy up / down, generally enough interior room as long as you don't mind being cozy with your passenger, excellent commuter car, 1st reliable sports car I've owned (previous 2 X Fiat and 1 X Alfa Romeo) - I drive it top down, year round in Colorado.......windows up, heater on, stereo on, 15 degrees, ball cap and gloves ....NO PROBLEM !
Cons:
seats are well shaped but not comfortable for long trips, with 66,000 miles on the car the seats are breaking down and need to be replaced, so not very durable - - authentic toyota seats (parts) are very expensive, so I have gone with after market -- very little storage, so I bought an after market trunk rack - - quality of interior dash and door panels could be better.....that being said plastic is still only plastic -
Overall review:
know what you're purchasing - it's a fun and basically impractical car, as an only vehicle - don't expect Porsche quality, it's not a Porsche and is only a fraction of the cost - don't expect blinding speed, that's not what this car is about - it's a quick and agile little car that is excellent for your daily commute, around town and an occasional weekend getaway - great 2nd car - works well in conjunction with an SUV as your other car - I' m glad it's not a crime to have this much fun going to and from work -
