Dealership is below standard by Erin, Willoughby Ohio on 05/08/2004. Trim: 2000 Kia Spectra GSX, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Looks cool driving by, nice tail lights. Like all the extra standard features. Great warranty (you'll need it). Major engine stuff is reliable. I don't freak when my kids eat in the backseat, because it's probably going to fall apart soon anyway.
Cons: Detail stuff falls apart ALL THE TIME. My yucky dealership knows me on a first name basis. Trunk release never worked, had fixed 5 times before I gave up on it. Muffler replaced three times in first 15,000 miles. Dashboard bubbled up in the sun, had replaced, and the dealership couldn't fit the passenger airbag cover on correctly after trying three times. For a while, the interior light didn't work. Dealership tried four times to fix and couldn't, even replacing the whole thing. Then one day, it just started working again. Replaced bald tires after 25,000. Rear passenger window control just fell right into the door!!! The list goes on and on....
Overall review: Overall reliable. Gets me where I need to go. NEEDS ROUTINE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON TIME. No letting it go an extra month like in a ford. Poor appreciation...by the time I pay it off, it will be worth maybe three dollars. Dealership ripped me off...wish I would have paid closer attention to the papers I signed. I would probably buy another Kia, just not a first year model, and I would research the dealership alot better.
