The GMC Yukon is completely redesigned for 2000, incorporating the look and the features of the current-generation Sierra pickup trucks introduced in 1999. In addition to a new frame design, the new Yukon features better handling with the new Autoride suspension. New seat designs have also been introduced, and the Vortec 4800 and the Vortec 5300 engines offer increased horsepower. AutoTrac Active 4WD system is now standard on 4WD Yukons.

I Love This Truck by Sidney From Middlebury IN on 05/02/2008. Trim: 2000 GMC Yukon SLE 4WD, Owned 4 years.

Pros: Great SUV, Can tow anything, its 5.3 V8 with its 295 h.p has tons of power and can get up and go whenever. It tows a 6,000 pound boat with no problem. TOW/HAUL mode is really usefull and easy on the transmission. sound system is awsome, clear and loud. OnStar is a very nice feature.

Cons: Gas Milleage could be better, but it is a full size SUV. They used too much plastic on the interior. (Not a big deal) Chrome wheels are small.

Overall review: This truck is an great buy for anyone who wants a SUV. Best full size for the money. Gas milage isnt too bad, I average about 17. Looks good, Not a problem in 115,000 miles. Great Truck.
