Mean Machine by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/27/2010. Trim: 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab 4WD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I have a 4x4 Diesel. Mine has no trouble pulling my 22 foot gooseneck cattle trailer loaded (13,000lbs). The truck rides excellent smooth, good handling. I have installed fuel lift pump and exhaust upgrade also a quadzilla adrenline computer chip for power. Also a ranch hand front bumper. I have the 5 speed geared 4.10 so runs high rpm at highway speed but can pull anything
Cons: Fuel system. The lift pump went out at about 80,000 miles and cost about $2000 to fix. I could have avoided this by installing a guage when I purchased the truck. Heavy in front not so good off road in pastures. My dash is cracked which from what i understand is a pretty common problem with these trucks if they sit in the sun
Overall review: After the fuel system was fixed not another lick of trouble.
