2006 Avalon by Matt from KC on 05/12/2010. Trim: 1998 Toyota Avalon XL, Owned 1 year.

Pros: I purchased this car in 2009 with 83k miles on it. Second owner and it currently has 95k miles. The car has plenty of power, however it does accelerate slowly up inclines. Transmission shifts very smoothly. Interior is expansive and provides plenty of leg room. No repairs so far, this car does have a timing belt which I plan on changing at 100k.

Cons: The downside to this car is the handling, its to soft. After passing over a large dip the car bounces. I have considered changing the struts but I am not sure this will fix it. Certain car seats do not fit into the backseat very well because of the slope and shape of the seat cushion. The radio reception is relatively weak.

Overall review: Overall, I like the Avalon and would recommend it to others. Believe it or not I like my 2006 Corolla better - 40 mpg, good handling, good power/weight ratio, no repairs (timing chain doesn't need replaced)
