The Ultimate Truck for Real by Tank from Wisconsing on 04/06/2010. Trim: 1998 Chevrolet S10 Pickup LS Ext. Cab 4WD, Owned 2 years.

Pros: I am the second owner of this truck and just rolled over 325,000 miles last week. The original owner followed the owners manual for servicing and regularly checked his fluids. I bought the truck from the original owner with 309,000 miles, all on the original motor and transmission I should add. Since then i have burned four rear tires off because of this trucks power. Over 300,000 miles and I have no hesitation to pull the boat or fourwheelers around, or to "take the ditch" at forty plus. I'm als 6'4", and comfortably drive it. I've even had three 6' 3" tall-plus guys in it for an hour both ways.

Cons: It is an s-10, its not a half ton, it doesn't have a v-8, and it has a speed limiter. Parts are also very expensive, such as a suspension lift.

Overall review: The s-10 Zr-2 is a very powerful, off-road capable, long living, wonder. If you take care of it, with regular maintanance, the s-10 will not dissapoint.
