WORST car I ever owned! by CommPilot43 From Central Coast of California on 06/01/2009. Trim: 1997 Volkswagen Jetta GLS, Owned more than 10 years.

Pros: Color Winsor blue was great Car looked good from outside. Sporty

Cons: Problems: Leaking trunk from day 1. Recall brakes from 7 months, Paint peeling after 19 months, Radio failed after 26 months , ETC. Airbag failed 4 years over 2000.00 to fix, Electric motors in windows failed. Door tracks poor quaility replaced, 110.00 each. year 5 CV both boots failed. Year 5 Check engine lights on for Airbag again, All work done by factory dealer too.

Overall review: Jetta has lost a customer and Please be careful picking this brand of vehicle when searching for a used car. Volkswagen should have stood by us on this car with this many issues and they failed to respond to any of our letters. Very poor company :(
