1997 Chevy Lumina by Linda and Bill from PA on 07/28/2002. Trim: 1997 Chevrolet Lumina Sedan, Owned 5 years.

Pros: It is extremely quiet, and a very comfortable ride overall. The car has been pretty reliable over 39,000 miles. Roomy interior - body held up well.

Cons: It developed some really serious oil leaks early in its life. This was right after the warranty ended. Chevrolet covered the cost of some of them, but it was still expensive. My husband doesn't like the air conditioning controls.

Overall review: I would buy another one. We are happy with the car, though we wouldn't buy again from the same dealer. He suggested we have the car rust-proofed when it was new. We had the dealer undercoat the car, and later found out this is not only unnecessary, but contra-indicated according to the warranty.
