Pretty on the outside, but disappointing over the years. by ex-MB enthusiast on 03/08/2010. Trim: 1996 Mercedes-Benz SL320 Roadster, Owned 10 years.

Pros: The car is cute, nice to look at. The convertible top works OK.

Cons: I bought it used w/ 40,000 miles several years ago. At the start, so many minor things started going wrong. A few lights in the dash went out, the electronic side mirror is floppy, the radio antinae quit recoiling, the front bumper is so low it catches on everything, rear view mirror is jiggly, the interior is very basic, it takes two people to remove the hard top and you have to have buy a rack for storage. Mechanically, it has been more costly than my previous Porsche or Cadillacs with water pumps, etc.

Overall review: I will never own another Mercedes.
