Solid Comfort, Smooth and Reliable by G-Man from Fort Wayne, Indiana on 02/13/2011. Trim: 1996 Buick Century Custom, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I bought this car in Aug 2010 with around 138k miles on it. I have been VERY surprised with the quality of materials and smoothness of the ride. The car handles well for its weight, is quiet and smooth, and is quick to accelerate and brake. One can carry on a quiet conversation at highway speeds with no problem. At 70mph you might think you are traveling at around 45mph. The 3.1 engine is quiet and has plenty of pep when you need it. Fit and finish are quite decent and even after all these years the car looks great. The white paint is shiny and the interior is perfect. Every time I check the mileage economy, I'm running 30mpg right on the nose.
Cons: Not much to dislike, so I'll have to really get picky to have anything to write about here. There are a couple of rust spots near the bottom edge of the trunk lid - nothing too serious at all. The rear window defroster doesn't work, but it has been too cold outside for me to dig around back there and see what's going on. I don't really care for the way the interior lights stay on for several seconds after you enter the car, but I can mess around with that later.
Overall review: Fantastic car in every way. It isn't a Porsche and it isn't a Bentley, but it is a VERY good quality driving machine. As far as I am concerned it runs like a one year-old Cadillac - very possibly the most comfortable car I have ever owned. If you are in the market and one of these is on your list, grab it.
