Pros:
this car is a blast to drive. The 4 cyl 16 V. DOHC has plenty of ponnies for this car. The car has a few things that you can do to trick it out and make it faster but i dont think that it needs it. The car has plenty of power. The interior is nice and the body lasts forever. The exauhst sounds nice as well. the handiling on this car is incredible for a sedan. Lots of room for the tall people out there.
Cons:
The price for some of the parts if not all of them are a little extreme. But that is the price that you will pay for all german cars. You will always pay for the best. The automatic transmission seems to have alot of problems with it.
Overall review:
Sure the car parts break after time, but most if not all of the things that others have listed going bad is normal wear and tear. If you like a nice fun economic and reliable car, then this is the one for you. If you dont want to out the time, effort, and money into a car, then this isnt the right car for you. It also helps if you get the bentley book on it and if you are a mechanic that knows how to fix a VW because most of the things that they do on the car is different from everyone else.
