possibly the most reliable/smoothest car by carl gin from oamaru new zealand on 02/09/2009. Trim: 1992 Toyota Camry Wagon LE V6, Owned more than 10 years.
Pros: reliability 150%. large carrying capacity for vehicle class. smoothest and most seamless auto trans i ve used. very smooth and super reliable v 6 engine comfortable as . very quiet running....it just purrs. has all the controls/and interior fittings are very well set out. design is freeform not like some others that was was designed in a rush to get to market. no interior squeeks even at a high milelage. twin door gaskets....the only vehicle to use it.....well sealed and low noise.
Cons: air con playing up........it maybe dirt clogging the refrigeration condenser after caking up on years of freeze thaw cycles. radiator toptank replaced at 150.000 kilometres......which is just normal.
Overall review: i saw this car in a dealer window in 1994 and i said someday i will own one,so i bought it in 1998, what a spunk machine?. it has very nice lines, i was to buy a BMW or SAAB or VOLVO wagon but the reliability issue of those changed my mind. it only cost me mainly the gas and registration fees to run for year. all maintenance/parts are done by me like shocks, filters cambelts etc......so i can t grizzle at that. note; i got this car 2nd hand and maintain it by changing wearable parts like c.v jionts etc which is part of wear n tear. but otherwise its real reliable and cheap annual running. car is now 245.000 kilometres on clock, and i ve bought a second camry a 1993 wagon.
