Pros:
Cheap, runs decently, Brakes well.
Cons:
Gas smell in vehicle, doors and pieces fall apart. Funky clutch in 5spd. Awful torque steer for such a weak gutless car.
Overall review:
Ok for such a cheap car. Gets as good of gas mileage as my wifes 1997 Mustang Cobra with 4.10 rear gears (combined 23mpg cobra). Accelerates just as slow from 4000rpm all the way up to 6000rpm. Gas gauge is not working correctly. Idle suges up and down (probably timing belt about to blow). Has 74k miles and looks like 200k. Shifter is sloppy as a noodle. Getting it into the gear you want is like playing a slot machine. The windows fog like a bathroom mirror with the shower on. For those who say 92 is the first year, its not! I own a 1991 elantra in Korea. They had more than enough time work out the bugs. Newer Korean cars have much better build quality and have come a long way since the early 90's. Watch out for the older ones. Its hit or miss...
