Nice first car by Josh from Tampa. on 08/29/2011. Trim: 1988 Buick Park Avenue Base, Owned 3 years.
Pros: The LN3 Pre-Series 1 3800 is reliable and has iron heads instead of aluminum in series 2, also the pre series 1 doesn't have a plastic intake so you don't have to worry about the intake manifold defect of the series 2. The 3800 also makes more power than the oldsmobile 307 it replaces. The 88 Electra Park Ave is comfortable, has a decent sized trunk, looks good, and is reliable.
Cons: No tach, the trunk could be a little bigger, the pre series 1 3800 got mediocre city mpg considering Im averaging 15-17 in town which a chevy 305 or LT1 could get 16 in city as well. Turning radius is similar to Ford trucks of the year, so not too impressed with parking. Brakes are also somewhat mediocre. I wish the fuel tank was larger than 18 gallons, should be 21....
Overall review: Comfortable, reliable, cheap, good looking.
