2005 Saab 9-2X

The 9-2X is a new 5-door premium sport compact, available in Linear and Aero versions. Linear equipment includes all-wheel drive, 16-inch alloy wheels, an AM/FM/CD, and a 165-hp 2.5-liter engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. Aero adds a 227-hp turbocharged and intercooled 2.0-liter engine, larger front brakes, light alloy wheels, automatic climate control, sport upholstery, and a 6-disc CD changer.

The 9-2X is Saab’s first entry in the premium sport compact segment, giving Saab an additional model positioned below the 9-3. The 9-2X is a 5-door hatchback based on the Subaru Impreza Wagon and the WRX Wagon, and uses the same engines, transmissions, and all-wheel-drive systems. The 9-2X has distinct Saab design for both the exterior and interior, and the styling is consistent with the look and feel of other Saab models.
