A zero compromise car with performance, economy & reliability
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/28/2012.
Trim: 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Sedan.

Pros:
Had my '99 Grand Prix GT for 8 years now & love every minute behind the wheel. It has sharp sleek styling, very comfortable ride especially on long trips, excellent performance & handling, excellent fuel economy (22 city-34 highway), excellent reliability. has been virtually problem free. The performance upgrades available from ZZperformance, Intense & wbodystore which truely wake up the cars potential.
Cons:
Intake gaskets developed a leak around 90,000 miles. That was the only issue I ever had. The transmission could use a 5th or 6th gear.
Overall review:
An all around great performer with a balance of performance, handling, economy & reliability. With regular maintainace this car will easily outlast anything on the road. A 5th or 6th gear in the transmission would greatly enhance performance & the car would easily achive 40+ mpg. Shame on GM for discontinuing the 3800 v6 and Pontiac
