Pros:
I bought this car used and really enjoyed it.The car was in excellent condition overall and low mileage when purchased. Handled great, hugged road.
Three days ago my 20 yr old daughter borrowed my car and while taking action to avoid another car hitting her, was forced off the interstate going 70 miles an hr (top was up). She hit dirt and gravel, lost control and rolled the car 2-3 times (haven't gotten the HP report yet)...but she ended up upside down, had hit a large light pole and knocked that over. She walked away with seatbelt bruises and aching muscles. The car was totaled but not hardly a scratch on my daughter. I cannot say enough about the quality of this car in a crash.
Cons:
My SLK odometer plasma screen was broke...the miles were tracked but it was difficult and sometimes impossible to read. Also, because the top was down a bunch, the interior had some areas of peeling on the hard surfaces.
Overall review:
Would buy again. However, now my husband wants an S class. We also own a 1998 C280 with 205K miles (have owned for 10 yrs)...still going strong. Really believe these cars are safer.
