The 2009 Hyundai Sonata receives exterior and interior updates, including new headlights, taillights, bumper fascias, body-side moldings and alloy wheels. Inside, drivers will find an updated center console, a new instrument panel, and an upgraded audio system with USB auxiliary inputs and an available GPS navigation system with a high-resolution display and touch-screen interface. Two more powerful engines are offered with the Theta II 2.4-liter 4-cylinder producing 175 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque with fuel economy of 22/32 mpg city/highway. The updated Lambda 3.3-liter V6 delivers 249 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque with fuel economy of 19/29 mpg city/highway.
