2006 Ford GT

The 2006 Ford GT offers a limited-edition Tungsten Grey model to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the original Ford GTs placing first, second, and third at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. A limited-edition Heritage is also offered painted Heritage Blue with Epic Orange stripe to commemorate one of the racing Ford GTs from the past.

The Ford GT is Ford’s mid-engine two-seat sports car that Ford describes as the “Pace Car For An Entire Company.” Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 that produces 500 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, the design is inspired by the legendary Ford GT race cars of the 1960s that swept the top three positions at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.
