The 2008 Dodge Viper receives a new hood with functional air intake and air extractors for improved engine cooling. Boasting a total output of 600 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque, the new 8.4-liter V10 engine delivers 90 horsepower more than the previous version due to a revised block and heads, new intake and exhaust systems and Variable Valve Timing with CamInCam technology. The suspension includes lightweight aluminum control arms and coil-over shock absorbers while Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires replace the previous run-flats. Inside, the Viper retains the driver-oriented instrument panel and red push-button starter and now offers five interior colors with four new color combinations and a choice of finishes for the instrument bezels and center console. Five new exterior colors are added: Venom Red, Snakeskin Green, Viper Violet, Viper Orange and Bright Blue.
