The 2006 Dodge Durango adds the Multi Displacement System with the optional 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine for improved fuel efficiency. Two new 18-inch wheels are available in cast aluminum and chrome-clad aluminum, and 17-inch aluminum wheels are standard on all trim levels. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is standard on Limited, and optional on SXT and SLT; power liftgate is standard on Limited; remote start is available on SLT and Limited; and roll-sensing technology is added to the side-curtain airbag system.

The KING Of S.U.V.'S by O.F. K. on 09/27/2009. Trim: 2006 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD, Owned 3 years.

Pros: It is very safe, reliable, powerfull, and everything is just perfect, repairs are very eregular, but when it does need a repair the repairs are very cheep, i also have a ford exspition and the same repairs are neerly x2 the price! And since it is 4x4 with its A.W.D, 4 high, and 4 low with diff lock, this car must be good off road, i only know that its very good on soft sand or normale sand through deep mud and water i'm shour it will be good on other sufices to though. (i live in Dubai so there's only sand and once a year floudes)

Cons: when i go over type a rally suffes (gravel) the bolts tend to skweak a lot! also the front is a bit low down for sireus off roading.

Overall review: i would deffanatly recomend this car for others it is just such a good car, the avarage person that will own this is a mother so they probbaly will not go off road, but if you do go off road like me you should get the frount suspention lifted a couple of inches. (they can do this at a dodge suvicer.)
