The Prius c is Toyota's new subcompact 5-door hatchback hybrid and the newest addition to the Prius family alongside the third-generation midsize Prius and the larger new Prius V. The letter “c” represents city and the Prius c is designed as an urban vehicle with a city fuel economy rating of 53 mpg city, 46 mpg highway and a combined rating of 50 mpg. The Prius c is smaller and lighter than the Prius with an overall length that is 19.1 inches shorter and a total weight that is 542 pounds lighter than Prius at 2,500 pounds.
