The Forester is Subaru’s compact crossover SUV which is redesigned for 2014 with a new exterior look, more interior room, improved performance and increased fuel economy. A new 250-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged 2.0-liter BOXER engine powers the 2.0XT combined with a high-torque version of the Lineartronic CVT that features 6-speed and 8-speed manual shift modes with steering wheel paddle shifters. The Forester was previously redesigned for the 2009 model year with an increase in size and a more SUV-like appearance. The Forester originally joined the Subaru lineup for the 1998 model year and was first redesigned for 2003.
