The FR-S is Scion’s new front-engine rear-wheel-drive sports coupe. The FR-S name is derived from the attributes of Front-engine, Rear-wheel drive and Sport. Scion describes the FR-S as an authentic sports car at an affordable price and is powered by a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter horizontally-opposed boxer engine that is mounted low in the chassis to enhance driving dynamics. The FR-S is a lightweight design for a quick, nimble feel and the suspension is tuned Performance is enhanced by a standard Torsen limited-slip differential, lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels and ventilated disk brakes.
