The Panamera S Hybrid is the new hybrid version of Porsche’s 4-door performance car that joins the lineup for the 2012 model year. The Panamera S Hybrid is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine combined with an electric motor, delivering the power though an 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. Electricity is stored in a nickel-metal hydride battery pack. The Panamera S Hybrid achieves an EPA rating of 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway, the highest-ever EPA highway rating for a Porsche. The Panamera debuted in 2010 as the first all-new vehicle from Porsche since the debut of the Cayenne in Paris in 2002. A premium sedan, the Panamera is designed to deliver Porsche sports car performance combined with the spaciousness and comfort of a luxury sedan while delivering best-in-class fuel efficiency. The Panamera is the first premium car to feature an automatically shifted double-clutch transmission with an engine start-stop system to save fuel and reduce emissions.
