The IS C is the retractable-hardtop convertible from Lexus, which joined the lineup alongside the IS sedan in the summer of 2009 as a 2010 model. Combining the open-air fun of a convertible with the style and security of a coupe, the IS C features a 3-panel aluminum hardtop that fully retracts in 20 seconds, leaving no element of the roof visible. While the IS C shares the hood, headlights, door handles and mirrors with the IS sedan, all other body panels are unique and designed to blend with the folding roof and minimize wind turbulence to the cabin when the top is down. The doors are 11.8 inches longer than the front doors of the sport sedan; new fog lights are integrated into the front air dam; new taillights feature LEDs; and an LED brake light is integrated into the standard rear spoiler.
