The LR4 is the fourth generation of Land Rover’s premium midsize SUV that was originally sold in the U.S. as the Discovery followed by the updated LR3 that replaced the Discovery for 2005. The LR4 improves on the LR3 with a more powerful new LR-V8 engine, exterior styling updates, more premium interior, driving improvements and additional user-friendly technology. The LR3 was designed to offer improved interior space and a great on-road driving experience, while continuing to offer the legendary off-road capability expected from a Land Rover. The LR3 featured a distinctive Land Rover look, including a front end treatment similar to the flagship Range Rover, short overhangs, a bold overall appearance and seating for up to seven persons.
