The Grand Cherokee is Jeep’s premium midsize SUV that is all-new for 2011 with unibody construction and independent rear suspension. The flagship of the Jeep brand, the Grand Cherokee is aimed at the upscale sport-utility buyer and the 2011 adds additional luxury and amenities without sacrificing off-road capability. The Grand Cherokee was introduced in 1992, and in 1993 became the first vehicle in its class to offer a V8 engine. In 1999, the Grand Cherokee was redesigned for the first time in its history and the third-generation Grand Cherokee followed for the 2005 model year.
