The Santa Fe is Hyundai’s midsize crossover that is redesigned for 2013 and is now offered in two versions. The 5-passenger Santa Fe Sport is similar in size to the previous version, although it is now 266 pounds lighter than the 2012 model. New for 2013 is the longer wheelbase Santa Fe that offers three rows and 7-passenger seating. The Santa Fe was originally designed by Hyundai specifically for the North American market and the newest version for the 2013 model year continues to offer progressive design, efficient powertrains and upscale amenities. The Santa Fe originally joined the Hyundai lineup for the 2001 model year. Redesigned for the 2007 model year, the 2007 Santa Fe was about seven inches longer than its predecessor, one inch wider and almost two inches taller with a 2.9-inch wider track. For 2010 the Santa Fe received exterior updates and new powertrains.
