The Talon has been extremely successful on the racetrack, the all-wheel-drive variant having scored numerous victories in the Sports Car Club of America's World Challenge series in the last three years. In 1997 the Eagle Talon received its first styling update since it was completely redesigned for 1995. For 1998, the Talon is the only vehicle to wear the Eagle brand name.
