When the innovative Chrysler Pacifica was unveiled at the 2002 North American International Auto Show, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, president and CEO of the Chrysler Group, referred to the car as the company's next "segment buster." Shown initially as a concept, the final production Pacifica debuted as a 2004 model. Chrysler calls the Pacifica a Sports Tourer with such unique features as easy step-across entry and exit, first-class seating, three rows of seats, and fold-flat second and third row seats. For 2007 the Pacifica receives updated styling, a new 4.0-liter V6 engine and a restyled interior.
