The Impala is Chevrolet’s midsize sedan and the latest version debuted for 2006. The first Impala was the 1958 and by 1959 it was Chevrolet’s best-selling car. In 1965, one million Impalas were sold; a record for a single nameplate. The Impala name returned in 1994 as a high-performance version of the Caprice Classic before becoming a separate model for the 2000 model year. The OnStar advanced communication system comes standard on the Chevrolet Impala.
