The Seville is Cadillac’s performance luxury flagship which is sold in more than 40 countries. The Seville name was first used on coupe versions of the Eldorado in 1956. The Seville model debuted in 1976 in response to gas shortages and increased gas prices and became Cadillac’s first direct competitor with European luxury brands. The current Seville was redesigned in 1998 and the Seville name will be retired when 2004 Seville SLS production ends in December.
