The SRX is Cadillac’s premium midsize crossover SUV that was completely updated for 2010 with a new design, new engines and a new advanced all-wheel-drive system. In 2012, the engine was updated again, to a 3.6-liter V6 rated at 308 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft. of torque; it became the sole engine offered in the SRX.The new SRX is built on new front-wheel-drive architecture also scheduled as the platform for the Saab 9-4X. The first generation SRX that debuted as a 2004 model was built on the same platform as the rear-wheel-drive CTS sedan. The available high-tech AWD system incorporates a Haldex center differential and an electronic limited slip rear axle. The interior continues to incorporate elements from the CTS interior, including the hand-cut-and-sewn leather covering on the instrument panel, a pop-up navigation system, hard-drive-based navigation and sound system and OnStar.
