Cadillac Escalade Hybrid

The 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is the new hybrid version of Cadillac’s full-size luxury SUV that features General Motor’s new two-mode hybrid system. The Escalade Hybrid uses a two-mode hybrid system to improve gas mileage up to 50 percent in the city over the non-hybrid version, achieving an EPA rating of 21 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway. The system provides electric-only operation at low speed, early fuel cutoff during deceleration and combines electric power with the 6.0-liter V8 engine when needed for acceleration.
