The CTS is Cadillac’s entry-luxury sport sedan and coupe. The sport-oriented coupe joined the lineup for 2011. The CTS sedan was redesigned for the first time for the 2008 model year with updates to the interior and exterior styling and a number of new technological features. All-wheel drive was available for the first time and a new 6-speed automatic transmission was added. The CTS made its first appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August 2001 and Cadillac did extensive testing at Germany's famed Nürburgring race track. The CTS-V was added for 2004 with a 400-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine and after the 2008 redesign, returned for 2009 powered by a 556-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with standard Magnetic Ride Suspension. All Cadillac CTS sedans and coupes are equipped with the OnStar advanced communication system.
