The Encore is Buick’s new small luxury crossover SUV that joins the Buick lineup for 2013 and is offered in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel drive versions. Powered by a 138-horsepower Ecotec 1.4-liter turbocharged engine combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the front-wheel drive Encore is rated at an EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/33 mpg highway and 28 mpg combined. Standard Buick QuietTuning is designed block sounds from entering the interior and absorb sounds. Encore also features Buick’s first use of Bose Active Noise Cancellation technology. The exterior design includes a chrome waterfall grille, blue-accented halogen projector-beam headlights, chrome accents, 18-inch aluminum wheels and painted lower panels. Encore features standard OnStar safety and security technology that includes enhanced emergency, OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics and navigation capabilities.
