Introduction
The M6 is the high-performance version of the 6-Series that shares the 500-horsepower V10 engine with the M5 sedan. BMW does not refer to the M6 as the flagship of the M Car lineup, but more of a complement and a stablemate to the M5 sedan, with both cars delivering the top level of BMW M power and sophistication. The M6 returns to the BMW lineup after a hiatus of almost 20 years. The M6 features exterior and interior styling that reflects a balance of performance and luxury. The exterior styling is aggressive and one unique feature is the carbon fiber roof which not only offers weight savings but also lowers the center of gravity for performance improvements and adds a unique element of style. For 2007 a convertible version is added to the lineup.
